4 million tickets sold in four years!

Rascal Flatts is now the the largest selling and grossing music group in country music history, industry trackers report.

Recently, the country music giant was named a Billboard Top Ten Touring Act in all genres with more venue attendance records than any other country act, the group’s publicist confirmed.

The band broke another record this week when it sold concert ticket No. 4 million in just four years, reported industry music leader Billboard and the band’s publicist. It also recently sold out two stadium dates on its current “Unstoppable” tour and added six additional dates to the schedule through October.

Also this week, “Unstoppable,” the band’s latest studio effort was certified platinum with more than 1 million albums sold. It also marked the fourth-consecutive No. 1 Billboard Top 200 chart debut for Rascal Flatts. The certification also officially marks more than 20 million albums sold since 2000 and more than 10.5 million additional digital downloads, according to music tracker Nielsen SoundScan.

Review Rascal Flatts at the Cruzan Ampiteatre

“It’s just hit after hit,” my friend gushed toward the end of Rascal Flatts’ 20-song set at Cruzan Amphitheater tonight, and she was spot-on.

From the second Gary LeVox, Jay DeMarcus and Joe Don Rooney set foot on stage, they had the crowd eating out of the palms of their hands.

Another thing started as soon as they took the stage?
Gary LeVox began to sweat. And sweat. And sweat.
He joked at one point that he’d have gladly paid the air conditioning bill and I believe him. He probably didn’t even realize that afternoon cloud cover and showers cooled things off a bit.
But as hot as it was, the performance was blistering.
